Designing Tips Like a Pro: At the Comfort of your Room

February 25, 2018 by Sarah Stanton

Whether you are the kind of person who wants boho or modern design with your room, it is a must that you should be comfortable with all the things on your room, because your room is the most private place where you can rest and reflect on how the things went, and how have you been on that jungle. You do not need a lot of money to achieve your bedroom goals but with creativity and passion you are good to go. Simple design that functions well is nine times out of ten. Creating a simple design is harder that it looks – especially in bedrooms.

Remember every bedroom absolutely needs a bed in it – and beds are big and ungainly, and dictate the placement of every other object inside. But if you are lucky enough to be planning a bedroom from scratch and remodeling an existing bedroom, you can control the other elements and create that space that is both practical and cozy.

Here are tips to help you get the most of your bedroom.

  • Simple Circulation

Try to keep the circulation on one side of your bedroom. Circulations plans become a little more challenging with en suite rooms (bedrooms with bathroom attached) or bedrooms that have a doors to the outside. To save a space, pay attention to where you locate the bathroom and the closet in your bedroom.

  • Focus on the view

A bedroom with a good view would always feel nicer when the first thing you experience is a pleasant view put of the window – as opposed to a view looking straight at the bed.

  • Keep privacy in mind

It is always niece when you can leave the bedroom door open without forsaking all of your privacy. Your bedroom is where you can keep everything – whether it is things or feelings. Avoid creating a layout in which you will look directly into the bedroom from a more public area of the house.

  • Connect with the outdoors

This may not always been feasible in all climate connecting a room with the outdoors is a best way to make the space feels larger and accumulate more natural light. If your bedroom is on the ground floor adding a set of French doors can instantly increase visual space.

  • Consider the furniture layout

Your bedrooms architecture should take your furniture into account. The floor plans usually have a bed wall; ensure that there would be enough space for other things you want to put on your bedroom.

  • Increase light and ventilation

Putting your bedroom at the corner of your home can give you windows on two or more adjacent walls.

  • Take your time

Great designs and output takes a while and usually requires refining before you come up with the project plan for your lifestyle.
