- Is your portfolio ready?
You have to put an effort to make a good portfolio. Since a lot of interior designers are entering the business as freelancers, you have to make sure that your portfolio stands out from the others and that it can undoubtedly build trust to your clients and it can make them say “Yes” to you. It will really take time before you can call your craft your business. You absolutely have to build your name and start from the bottom. Don’t worry, you will learn a lot of things on the way, at the same time it will make a more credible and trustworthy portfolio.
- Are you in for some never ending studying?
Yes, you graduated from college, finished your degree and went to a lot of trainings, BUT, that doesn’t mean you will stop studying. Interior designing is a job wherein you’re client will just give you an empty space and then let you do the magic for them. However, we all know it’s not magic, it will require all of the things you have learned and the things you still have to learn. Interior designers are known for being creative and artistic, but that doesn’t mean that all of your ideas will just come from within you. You have to find some inspirations and open your mind to a whole new world of ideas where you will put all of your inspirations and made one spectacular work.
